Trading codes
Currently sitting in Kamadan trying to buy a mini-destroyer. Multiple people have offered to sell me codes for it instead of the real thing. My question is, is that against eula?
Just seems shady to me. Despite the risk of getting scammed. |

Its almost definately a scam. They sell you a random series of numbers and letters that don't work 95% of the time.
And technically yes, it is against the EULA to trade in game items/currency for something that isn't tradeable in game (stuff from another game, another account, an access code, etc). |

Here's what to do when someone offers to sell you a code for a mini: Tell them to use the code and then come back and talk to you when they've got the minipet in-hand. Then SS the conversation and report the bums!

people who try selling codes instead of the actual minipets probably stole the codes from various magazine retailers.
someone who buys a magazine with a stolen code might report the code as being stolen and it will be traced back to you. bad situation all around so id recommmend staying away from code sellers. |

Thought I also read somewhere that you can only use one code per account. So if someone did buy multiples, they are kind of hosed.

Still, most of them are scams. Just buy the actual pet from somebody. |

I would avoid buying codes. There was another thread of a guy who took pics of the codes with a camera phone and then sold the codes in game. So Kooks comment isnt too off base. For the people who bought serveral magazines and are trying to sell minis, that kinda sucks for them. They should learn to read the ULGA.

Just do what the majority of my friends (ingame) did and email PCGamer claiming to have bought the magazine and discovered the code is in use. Apparently they send you a new one (I already have a destroyer mini )
